A couple of weeks ago I finally made it up to Ardeonaig. I'd heard so many great things about this hotel from a number of customers so I was really pleased to be asked by a couple to provide flowers for their wedding there.
It is a beautiful drive especially at this time of year with the colours changing. The only slight problem was a sheep which insisted on running up the single track road randomly veering from side to side. We eventually got past it and chased it down the road again only to hear later that the make up artist had the same experience.
I hadn't taken my camera and completely forgot to take images of the bouquets before I left but here is the beautiful setting and the sheep.
On the way back we popped into Mhor 84 for a much needed cup of tea and some food. Another wedding completed.

Wedding flowers for an artist
This was always going to be a lovely wedding to do. Taking place near Peebles all the flowers were collected from the shop. The gypsophila which the bride was going to use in planters had to be tightly wrapped to stop it filling the whole car.

48 hour holiday
How lucky to have selected a weekend with wonderful weather for trip to Inveraray and over to the island of Islay. After checking in to the lovely The Islay Hotel time for a quick change and then off to the beach and into the water!
Dinner later at the hotel was fantastic. Langoustines, followed by chicken with a tarragon sauce then finally cranachan.
On the way home a late traditional Scottish lunch at The Drovers Inn. A very atmospheric old place full of taxidermy including a rare example of a stuffed haggis in an old glass case. Well worth going to see that!

A trip
After spending a small fortune on van repairs in recent months and with the expiry of a free BA flight looming I booked a trip for a bit of inspiration and a few slices of cake.
First stop the lovely Columbia Road. Then a walk round various shops, markets and on to the beautiful Petersham Nurseries. So stylish and with wonderful food too. Just what was needed.

St Andrews
Some images from a recent trip to the beautiful St Andrews. Always a great place to spend an afternoon. Can recommend mitchellsdeli.co.uk for brunch. Just don't get carried away and start buying golf outfits.
