Easter 2013

After closing the shop on Saturday night a quick drive up to Dundee to catch up with friends.

On Easter Monday a walk round the Botanic Gardens in Glasgow (in the sunshine!) and a look at the second hand books for sale.

 

I was tempted by the book above as I loved the cover but I didn't buy it. There was a mole version too.

Time passes

We were in Belfast at the end of December and visited The Mac. A really great new arts venue in the city. 

Another place to visit is Avoca. Amazing cakes, I had the coffee and walnut. I really liked some of the details in the store.

Some of my current reading. This book is particularly interesting if you are a bit of a collector of things.

Weddings

I have been very poor at keeping up this blog. The time just seems to fly by.
There have been lots of weddings on the go.

This one was at the beautiful Gean House in Alloa last week.

It was a lovely job to work on.

Autumnal wedding flowers

I love the change of seasons and this wedding really is the start of using beautiful autumnal colours.
These photos show the progress from notes and tartan samples through to delivery at the venue.

As usual, I didn't get to see it all set up exactly as the bride saw it.

Edinburgh

On Sunday the sun looked like it was going to shine so we took a trip to Edinburgh to see an exhibition at the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art and then have a walk in the Royal Botanic Gardens. It was great to have the chance to enjoy a bit of sunshine and fresh air.

A new resident

This charming wooden fox has come to live with me. I wonder what he was made for?
